Darby Studios is an independent branding and web design practice based in Wakefield, West Yorkshire, founded by Jamie Darby. We work with ambitious founders, growing SMEs, and established businesses who want design that works as hard as they do.
We're deliberately small. We take on a selective number of projects so every client gets genuine attention and real craft — not a cut-and-paste template with a different logo.

Website projects start from around £1,200 for a clean brochure site, with e-commerce and complex builds ranging from £2,500 to £6,000+. Pricing depends on page count, functionality, and integrations. We scope this clearly before any commitment.
Brand identity: 3–5 weeks. Website (brochure): 4 weeks. E-commerce or complex builds: 8–12 weeks. Timelines are agreed upfront and stuck to.
Yes. While we're based in Wakefield, we work with clients across the UK. The vast majority of our work is done remotely — video calls, shared documents, and clear communication mean location is never a barrier.

Yes. We work on a 50% deposit upfront, 50% on delivery structure as standard. For larger projects we can split into three milestone payments. Good design should be accessible — if cash flow is a concern, let's talk.
